Summer Learning Journey - The Right to an Education

Kia Ora blogger's. Today's blog is a little bit about Malala Yousafzai, did you know that Malala Yousafzai got shot at when travelling home from school. Back in 2012 girls living in Pakistan were not allowed to go to school.  She fought for all women and girls to attend school.  She has written books about her life and a children's book called Malala's Magic Pencil

Here is my short story about getting a puppy.  Hope you enjoy it.

    Hey Maddison,

    Wow!! What a story. I love the descriptive words you have used. It really gives the story lots of emphasis. You have really made me feel like I am right there with you.

    Puppies are lots of responsibility and need lots of exercise. Glad to see you got all the important stuff when you took Coco home.

      Thanks, Mum. I really want a puppy, they're so cute and fluffy, but they're really bouncy. If you got a free ticket to get your own puppy, would you? Why or why not?

    Well done on completing another blog post today for the Summer Learning Journey (SLJ). You are making such great progress, keep up the hard work. One more week to go!

    What a fantastic short story you have put together today. I really enjoyed reading about the day you got to go to the pet shop to choose a puppy. I like your story because it is very well structured, you have used a lot of adjectives - describing words and you have put a lot of detail into this piece of writing. You are a great writer, you should be very proud of yourself!

    Until recently I never liked dogs, but some of cousins got new dogs and now I love them. One of my cousins has a big huskie, her name is Skye and she is the cutest! My cousin lets me take her for walks a lot because we live quite close to one another.

    When you said you named the dog Coco, I immediately thought of the movie COCO. Have you seen that movie?

    Hello Maddison,
    Vitaraag here, back on your blog to see some of the fantastic blog posts you have made. WOW! What an amazing story. I really like how you added lots of similes and description words. Another part I liked was when you expressed how you felt. I would also be really happy if I got a dag. Right now I don't have a pet. I wish I did. When I grow up I will defiantly buy either a cat or dog or both. I might even buy a different pet. Maybe next time you could add a bit more information about Malala. Overall, this is a phenomenal blog post! Keep up the astonishing work!
