Summer Learning Journey - Belle Of The Ball

Kia Ora blogger's. Today's blog is about Emma Watson, she's a actress. she plays Hermione Grangerin the Harry Potter films and she played Belle in Beauty and the Beast.

I have to imagine that Emma has emailed me, she needs me to recommend a book for her book club and she will write a review of it.

The book I choose is The Brave Kitten, I chose this book because it is one of my favourite books written by Holly Webb. I love animals and reading stories about animals. Holly Webb has a whole series of amazing stories for the animals. This particular story is about a kitten who gets hurt and Helena has to care for the kitten while they try and find his owners. I won't ruin the ending for you, but it is a happy ending. Comment below if you have read this story before or any other stories written by Holly Webb.

  1. Afternoon Maddison,

I knew you loved Holly Webb's books, but had no idea why. These seem like really lovely stories. I might just have to read The Brave Kitten to find out the ending. I am glad to hear it has a happy ending.

    Keep reading!! Books are fun!!

  2. Mālō e Lelei Maddison,

Ka pai for making it to your third bonus activity for week 2!

Thank you for sharing about a book you think Emma should use for her book club. I like the photo you have uploaded the cover of your selected book “The Brave Kitten”, that is such a cute kitten! I really enjoyed reading about what this book is about and why people should read it. I have never heard of Holly Webb before nor have I read any of her books so I might go take a look at some of them.

I like that you acknowledged that you love animals, so you enjoyed reading books and stories about them. What is your favourite animal?

  4. Hello Maddison,
It is me Vitaraag. I have commented on your blog before. WOW! What an amazing blog post you have put together. I really like how you added a picture of the book to make the blog post way more interesting. I also really like how you explained some back story to the activity, so we know who Emma Watson is. I actually don't remember reading a book by 'Holly Web'. For some reason it rings a bell in my head, so I might have. Maybe next time you could add really small outro reflecting on this activity. Overall, this is a phenomenal blog post! Keep up the astonishing work!
