Summer Learning Journey - One Small Step For A Man

Kia Ora bloggers. Today I am writing about Neil Armstrong, but not really writing about him, I have to write a short poem imagining that I was Neil Armstrong. Did you now that Neil Armstrong was the 1st man to set foot on the Moon. Landing on the moon is very dangerous. Neil Armstrong  must have been extremely brave. He became a midshipman in 1949 and a naval aviator the following year. Here is my short poem.

Felt like I was in a pool,
Feels so cool.
But though, filled with gravity,
Like I have got a cavity.
Anything will float,
My Rocket Ship, just like a boat.

Blog you later!

  1. Wow!!! What a creative poem. You have used your imagination and come up with some very descriptive ideas to what Neil Armstrong felt when he stepped onto the moon.

I too imagine it would have been cold, and with all the craters on the moon, they would have looked like cavities. I could also imagine it looking a bit like swiss cheese with all the holes in it. I think it would have also felt like being on a trampoline as there is no gravity on the moon.

    Keep up the awesome blogging

  2. Buenas Noches Maddison,

I really enjoyed reading your blog post this morning about how you would feel if you were in Neil Armstrong's shoes, being the first human to land on the moon. What an awesome poem you have put together, the rhyming you have used is spot on and paints a vivid image in the reader's head about what you have written.

I really like the end of your poem where you were like “anything will, my rocket ship, just like a boat. You have put together a very creative poem, you should be proud!

If you travelled to the moon, what is something that you would take with you and leave on the moon as a memoir?

Keep up the hard work, I look forward to reading more of your blog posts!

    Adiós,
    Kueni :)
