Week 1 Day 4 Activity 3 - Pancakes and Maple Syrup

This blog post is to share with you one of my favourite recipes.  Macaroni Cheese.  The recipe we use is from the Edmonds Cookbook


How to make Macaroni Cheese:

You Will Need:                                          How to make:                             
Butter= 1 tbsp                                            1. Preheat oven to 190˚C.
Onion= 1 whole                                         2. Melt the butter in a saucepan, add onion and cook gently
Edmond's flour= 2 tbsp                              for about 10 min or until the onion is translucent.
Dry Mustard=1/2 tsp                                  3. Stir in the flour and cook, stirring, until frothy. Then add
Hot Milk= 2 cups                                       the mustard.
Grated tasty cheese= 2 cups                       4. Remove from the heat and add the hot milk gradually
Macaroni Elbow pasta, Cooked=2 cups    5. Return to the heat and cook, still stirring, until the sauce
Breadcrumbs= 2 tbsp                                 boils and thickens. Remove from the heat, season with salt                                                                     and pepper and add half of the grated cheese, and the                                                                               macaroni.
                                                                   6. Combined well and put into an ovenproof dish.
                                                                   7. Mix the breadcrumbs into the remaining grated cheese                                                                         and sprinkle over the top
                                                                   8. Cook for 20 min until golden and heated through.
                                                                  
                                                                   Add chopped, cooked bacon or ham to the sauce if                                                                              you wish.

    This is a nice post with a nice, brief description as to what it's about :) what stands out to you in a macaroni cheese dish? I've never actually tasted this dish before but have heard lots of talk about it when it's brought up in conversation. I like how along with the detailed ingredients, you've given the method to how to make it!

    Helps the reader a lot if they're thinking of making it themselves!

    Yes this a favourite in our family. It is such a quick easy meal to prepare. You can also add things to it like i do, tomatoes, bacon or ham, spinach, mushrooms and onions.
