Summer Learning Journey - Celebrating Summer - Week 4 Day 2 - Summer Sounds

Kia Ora bloggers. Welcome back to another post! Today' post is about Summer Sounds. Today we had to record some summer sounds outside. We had to listen to sounds outside and make a poem based on the sounds. I did two videos: one in our backyard but that one I couldn't hear much nature noises. So I decided to do a video in our front yard and then there was a lot of nature noises.

Here are the videos of my screenscastify:

  1. Mōrena Maddison,

It’s Charlotte here, a commenter for the Manaiakalani Summer Learning Journey. You have done some amazing work on the ‘Summer Sounds’ task!

WOW Ka pai on making two different poems, they are awesome! It was cool to see how you can hear different sounds depending on where you are in the garden! What different sounds do you think you would be able to hear if you were standing in the forest compared to your back/front yards!

I am very impressed with everything you have added into your blog post! It was very cool to hear the sounds that inspired your poem. What were some of the sounds that interested you the most? Were there any sounds that surprised you?

  2. Morena Maddison,

Another great post. You have really put some thought into this activity. I like how you made a decision to do two, when your first recording didn't give you the outcome you were hoping for. But I also like that it shows the different contrasts of our city and the noises we hear on a daily basis.

    Keep up the awesome blogging
    Mum
