Kia Ora bloggers! Welcome back to another post! Today is about ice cream and saying it in Te Reo Maori. we had to listen to an audio of someone saying a sentence in Te Reo Maori asking an answering a question. We had to write down what we think they say and the delete a box below it and figure out if we were close or not. After we had to create our own sentence and record ourselves saying the sentence in Te Reo Maori.
Here is the Slideshow:

Blog You Later!
Hi Maddison,
ReplyDeleteAnother great blog. I liked seeing your attempts in translation. You were very close with some of them. I was really impressed with your menu. You have some delicious flavours. Maybe next time we go for ice cream you could try asking in Te Reo for our order.
Ka pai.

Kia ora Maddison
ReplyDeleteRenee from the Summer Learning Journey Team, here. Ka pai for your work on this blogpost - it is so awesome to see you working with Te Reo Māori and learning new words and phrases.
I love ice-cream as well and watching your slideshow made me really hungry thinking about it! What is your favourite flavour? Mine is cookies and cream (or pihikete me te kirīmi) so I was really excited to see this flavour included in your menu.
What have been your favourite Summer Learning Journey activities so far? Did you find this activity fun or challenging?
Keep up the excellent mahi, I can't wait to see your other posts over the summer.
Mā te wā
