Summer Learning Journey - Celebrating Summer - Week 3 Day 4 - Giuseppe Arcimboldo

Welcome back to another post! Today's post is about art. We had to find out who the artist is that has made art into fruit, (I mean making faces and people out of fruit, animals and plants!). We had to create our own version. I made a picture on a piece of paper and one on a google drawing. We also had to create a screencastify answering "How did Giuseppe Arcimboldo inspire me to create my art work?" Here is the 2 drawings:

My Drawing:

The Google Drawing:

And here is the screencastify:

We also had to find 3 facts:

Hope you enjoyed my post!

  1. Hello Maddison, Your post is really good and so is the artwork you have done. Next time you could make an animal instead of another person.
    Great work

    1. Hi Amelia,
That is a great idea. I will have to think about what animal I would make.

  2. Afternoon Maddison,

I like how you did the pictures in two different formats. You are very creative. I enjoyed reading the different fruit and veges you used to make your pictures.

Did you have fun making these?

    Awesome blogging

It’s Shannon here from the Summer Learning Journey.

What an outstanding blog post you have presented Maddison. Giuseppe Arcimboldo is certainly an inspirational artist and the creativity in his artworks gives us so many wonderful ideas. I really loved your hot pepper earrings and wondered if you had ever considered creating food jewellery?

Your Google Drawing was also amazing and it was great that you gave us a key to see which fruit you used in your creations.

Isn’t it amazing to think that Arimboldo lived so long ago but he had talents that we still find amazing 1000’s of years later?

Ka pai on this exceptional blog post Maddison which will certainly gain you extra points.

    Ka kite anō,
    Shannon (SLJ)

    1. Hi Shannon,
Actually I have thought about making food jewellery, I have made some pasta necklaces. Maybe I could make the earrings out of plaster and paint them.
It is really fascinating that things from so long ago are still amazing today.
Hope you are enjoying my posts

  4. Kia ora Maddison. I like how you created a digital and a non-digital version of your art. Which was more fun to make? Which was more challenging? Maybe next time you find some facts you could summarise them into your own sentences. Keep up the awesome blogging!

    1. Hi Phil,
I found the non-digital version more fun to make as it was more challenging. I found the digital one quite easy and quick to make.
Yes thank you for the reminder. I will remember to summarise facts in my future posts.
