Summer Learning Journey - Celebrating Summer - Week 3 Day 5 - Ngā mihi o te tau hou

Kia Ora bloggers! Welcome back to another post. Today I learnt some new languages and how to say Happy New Year with those languages. For the Kick Start we had to find 5 languages and make a poster and for the Step It Up we had to find 10 languages and add them to the poster. Then screencastify ourselves saying Happy New Year in the languages.

Here is the Poster:

And Here is the screencastify:

Hope you enjoyed today's post!

  1. Evening Maddison,

This was a fantastic post. You did really well with your pronunciations of the different languages. I found it interesting that the languages from a few countries sound almost the same but slightly different. You also chose a great variety of languages.

Looking forward to your next post in your journey

  2. Mōrena Maddison,

It’s Charlotte here, a commenter for the Manaiakalani Summer Learning Journey. You have done some amazing work on the ‘Ngā mihi o te tau hou’ task!

WOW, you have included so many different languages in your blog post! Out of all the languages that you used in your post, what one did you find the most interesting to learn a bit more about?

I am from a country call Holland, here we say Happy New Year like ‘Gelukkig nieuwjaar’. It is actually quite hard to pronounce!

I always have a great time looking at your posts! Great job.

    Ngā mihi nui
