Summer Learning Journey - School Strike For Climate

Kia Ora blogger's. Today's blog is about Climate Change. We were lucky enough to have awesome teachers, who took our entire Senior School into Auckland City to be part of the change.  I felt so proud walking with everyone in support of protecting our planet and saving our environment.

Now I will share with you, what I do to help our environment.

  1. I am part of our Environmental Team at school.  We help look after the school, keeping it clean and tidy.  We take care of the compost bins, collect worm wee for the gardens and make bees wax wraps.
  2. I help take care of our garden at home, watering plants and taking out weeds.  We also recycle what we can at home.

What do you do to help our environment?

  1. Hey Maddison,

Once again showing your support for saving our planet. You have such a passion for protecting our environment, not only at home but at school and in the community. You were so very lucky to attend the Climate Change march, and what a memory that is for you to have.

    Keep on being you!!!

  2. Ata Mārie Maddison,

Ka pai on a fantastic blog post this morning! I think you have some awesome teachers who value the importance of climate change and have got you all involved in something like that.

Thank you so much for sharing some of the things you do at home to take care of our environment. It is so cool that you’re apart of the Environmental team at your school, I can tell that you value the environment so much and you are doing your part!

Something I do to look after the environment is that I always take tote bags when I go shopping, not only food shopping but sometimes when I go to the mall and buy new clothes I try to take my own or I'll purchase tote bags from the store if they have some.

  3. Hello Maddison,
Vitaraag here, back to comment on your blog! I really like how you included pictures of what you do to protect the environment. I think it is really cool that you are part of your school's environmental team. I find it so amazing that you take care of your garden well. I also like how you added a question for the readers to answer. What I do to help the environment is recycle loads of things and pick up rubbish around my yard. How often do you do these things?

    Vitaraag :D

  4. Hello Maddison

Great blog post Maddison. I very like that you are doing something very usefull for the Climate. To answer your questions, I always put the plastic stuff on the recycling place in my house and me and my family brought a Hybrid car (It uses less gazoline). "Do you do this amazing stuff everyday?
