Hey, today I have to tell you about someone who changed the world.
Her name is Jessica Watson
Jessica Watson is a storyteller, she is also a sailor from Australia and was the youngest person to sail around the world all by herself (solo).
She is an in-demand corporate speaker and a management consultant within Deloitte’s Human Capital Practice.

ReplyDeleteI had not heard of Jessica Watson before. Another brave woman. I don't think I would be able to sail around the world by myself.
Someone who has changed the world for me would be Ellen DeGeneres. She is an inspirational woman, who encourages everyone to be kind to one another. She also treats everyone the way they should be treated. Ellen sees the amazing things every day people do and also helps those in need.
It gives me inspiration and that is why I give back to our community, when I can.

I really enjoyed reading your final blog post this week about Jessica Watson. I had never heard about her until I started working with the learners from the SLJ program. I think it is so awesome that you chose her for your final activity this week because it means that you are genuinely interested in this person and what they do!
This activity asks you to explain how their work has made an impact on others. An example of this could be that she has encouraged other people to take up sailing or even things she may be involved in, such as charities. If you could, can you update your post or reply to this comment answering that part of the activity?
