Kia Ora bloggers. For the last few weeks we have been doing decade portraits. We have to take a photo of us, glue one half in our art books, and practice our portrait in our art books. Then we draw patterns on the side with the photo of us and then paint the patterns. Then we glue on one half of my face on our good copy of the portrait and glue the other half on my face in our books for practise, when the paint has dried. Then we draw our decade side and and then colour dye the background of the decade. Then we colour in the decade face and we are finished. Here is a photo of my decade portrait.

The detail in your portrait is great Maddison, you have captured your physical details well. Could you explain a little more about the 'decade' aspect of the work - I think the readers would like to understand more about what the decades refer to. Which decade did you choose, and why? It's fabulous to see you being active on your blog during the time away from school. I shall look forward to your future posts.
