Beach Clean Up

Kia Ora bloggers. Last term, we did a beach clean up instead of going to the Climate Change March again. Te Waka Ako went down to Waikowhai Beach, first we went and sat in the car park, but only a few cars were down there. The only car that stayed there was one of the Teachers cars.

After we sat down in the car park, we gave our signs to the teachers and adults, then we got into groups of four, in my group was; Me, Jaimie, Brittany and Kenny. Then we had to find a group of 3 and get together. The other group that Me, Jaimie, Brittany and Kenny chose was; Aamena, Pao and Izumi. Our adult was Katrina. After we were with an adult, we were told what way to go. We started to pick up rubbish. Brittany found a necklace with lots of tiny beads. Jaimie found little nails on the rocks near the water and I found a marble. We picked up a lot of rubbish and our bag was very heavy, none of us could lift it only Katrina could lift the bag. When we came back the teachers gave all of us an ice- block.

This experience was a fun one. Those who are reading this, please do your best to help the sea animals and the world's oceans.
