Here are the 3 things I learnt:
1. Air pollution can cause health problems like cancer
2. Air pollution is made from us humans, volcanic eruptions, log fires and allergens.
3. Smog can be divided into 2 categories, Sulfurous and Photochemical
Check out my blog for of my Summer Learning Journey.
Hi Maddison,
ReplyDeleteIt's Leslie here, reading your blog from home in Canada as a member of the Summer Learning Journey team.
Good for you, you've obviously looked at the video and paid attention to the information it shared about air pollution.
This isn't the happiest topic, is it? Unfortunately we have to deal with some of the problems we humans have created and the only way to do that positively is to learn all we can about the problem, and then work on a solution.
Air pollution is a big challenge to our health. Some of it is naturally made, as you say, as a result of forest fires or volcanic eruptions. But most of it is made by humans as we fly around the world in planes, drive our cars, build factories to make products for our homes and workplaces etc. No one intended to create air pollution, I'm sure. It just came about as we tried to find ways more comfortably in our different parts of the world.
Have you ever experienced air pollution? I used to live in a big city and there were days when the air would be grey and smoggy. I really appreciate living in a small town now in an area of Canada where the air is clear and clean. Lucky me!!
I'm impressed that you've learned so much about pollution. I hope you're spending time outside in the fresh air as well as doing these activities!!
I'll continue to enjoy reading your blog.
Cheers,
Leslie
