The first friend I choose is: Rael, because she has a bike that she rides on when it is wheels day at school. The second friend or family I choose is: My brother, Samuel because he is fast at riding his bike up and down the hill and he makes me laugh sometimes. The third friend I choose is: Jaimie because because she is organised every day for school and does not leave anything behind.

Week 2 Day 1 Activity 2 - The Great Taupo Cycle Challenge
For this post I have to write down 3 people or friends who I would take with me on the Lake Taupo Cycle Race. Here are the friends I am inviting to the cycle competition.

Talofa Madison,
ReplyDeleteCia here from the Summer Learning Journey Ako Hiko team. We are stoked to see you blogging this summer. :)
You have a created a very thoughtful support team here and provided good reasons why you'd have them by your side.
I think you picked a great team of family and mates to support you. It is always good to have a laugh during serious times, it helps you feel less nervous too, so your brother is a perfect pick. With a support crew like this you will be set to have an amazing day.
I'd probably take my Mum because she is my biggest supporter, my youngest sister because I feel like she'd have the loudest cheer in the crowd! Lastly I'd include my niece because she'd probably do the race to encourage me to finish. :) It would be really tough cycling that far, what do you think would be the hardest part of the race? Feel free to let me know here in the comment section.
Great to see you blogging, keep up the good work.
Toe feiloa'i fo'i (see you again),
Cia.
Hi Maddison,
ReplyDeleteI'm Leslie and I'm a member of the Summer Learning Journey team, reading your blog from my home in Canada. Isn't it amazing that we can both participate in this program even though we're on opposite sides of the world?
You've made some excellent choices for your support team for the cycling challenge. Have you ever been in a big bike race? I haven't, but I have friends who have. I'm amazed at how strong they are, able to travel long distances without stopping and competing even if it's a hot day. I love to ride my bike around town to do errands, but I know I wouldn't manage to cover hundreds of kilometres going up and down hill.
Do you have a bike that you can ride around your neighbourhood on? It sounds like your brother, Samuel, does. I'm so glad that you have a brother that makes you laugh - that's very special!! I do too. Lucky me.
I'm enjoying reading your blog. I hope you'll continue to complete activities and I'll continue to read your postings!
Cheers,
Leslie
