Summer Learning Journey - Celebrating Summer - Week 2 Day 1 - Hana Kōkō

Welcome back to my blog. Today's task involves SUMMER!!! Just like every other post! But this one is ABOUT summer. We had to read a story of Hana Kōkō and create our own summer outfit. We had to write down what our outfit name was and what inspired us about the outfit. We also had to write why we put the things on the outfit. The name of my outfit is Kiwiana Christmas. Here is my outfit:

Hope you enjoyed looking at my blog!

Don't forget to leave a thoughtful, helpful and positive comment.

Blog you later!!

  1. Evening Maddison,
Great blog. Your name for your costume was very creative. And it also fitted very well with your design. I don't think it gets any more Kiwiana than hokey pokey ice cream, jandals, bucket hats, singlets and shorts. You have managed to fit so many different summer aspects into your design. My favourite part was the kowhai flowers as it reminds you of your primary school.

What was your favourite part of your design?

    Great blogging

    1. Hi Mum!

My favourite part is the wavers because it reminds of the beach where we usually go for Christmas!

I actually really enjoyed doing this task as it reminded me of summer a lot!

      Merry Christmas!

  2. Kia Ora Maddisonl, Kiana-Marino here from the Summer Learning Journey.

Tino pai! Very good! Thank you for sharing your Hana Kōkō outfit with us on your blog. You have done a great job at choosing which best represents a kiwiana christmas as well as utilising the space on each item of clothing and the different patterns. I really like how you added in the hokey pokey ice cream on the hat because that is one of my favorite ice creams and it reminds me of summer here in New Zealand. Did you come across any challenges along the way?

I look forward to your response and seeing more posts you produce on your blog over the summer break.

    Ngā mihi

    1. Kia Ora Kiana-Marino,
Thank you for your comment. I am glad to hear you liked my design. One challenge I came across was trying to think of different things to put on the outfit. Once I got one idea the rest flowed.
Hope you get a chance to read some more of my blog posts.
