For the last few days we have been doing yoga with Miss Ikinofo! Do you know Miss Ikinofo? I do! Did you know she was a teacher at our school. She went overseas to learn more about yoga and mindfulness, And now she teaches as a reliever at our school and also teaches yoga and mindfulness, normally in a class setting or holiday programme. Instead of meeting her in person, we did a live stream on my mum's laptop. Here are photos of my family doing yoga with her.
Maybe you could come and join in too.
Blog You Later!!
Awesome to see you are all involved in doing the sessions Maddison. Great balancing skills. Some of the teachers are doing sessions with her at different times as well. It is very grounding and great for mental health. I am glad you blogged about this and are sharing with others. It will hopefully encourage them to go into the sessions as well. It is very important.
ReplyDeleteWe have been very lucky having Miss Ikinofo offering these sessions. I am a little gutted I can't partake in the sessions, as they look like so much fun. I do follow along with the breathing exercises. As Ms Sands said in comment above, these are good to help ground us and keep our mental health in check.
ReplyDeleteHey Maddison, it's fabulous to see you all participating in the Mindfulness and yoga sessions with Miss Ikinofo - as Ms Sands has said the teachers have had the opportunity to be involved in these types of sessions too. I find it tricky to do the stretches, but I've been practising, and I like the breathing exercises (they're a little bit like the breathing exercises we do in Singing at school!). I'm just looking at the sidebar and seeing that you have other blog posts that I may have missed over the last few days, so I'm going to investigate those now. Have a lovely weekend in your bubble. :-)

ReplyDeleteI'm really glad you are all enjoying the yoga and mindfulness lessons Maddison. I't a positive activity you can do without breaking your bubble. I have known Miss Ikinofo since she was a baby and my daughter Rachelle and her have been friends since they were children. I know how passionate Miss Ikinofo is about the programme and she has been really pleased to see so many of you engaged with it. I'm looking forward to hearing more about what you are doing during the lockdown period.
