In week 5 most of the seniors went to Mt Ruapehu. It was the best time ever!
I was waiting for the buses to arrive and my sister was so sad that she wanted to come with me and my dad because she has never skied or snowboarded before. I was so tired because I had to pack a lot of things for camp and it was difficult packing my stuff. I felt really exited and sad, I was exited because I have never been to Mt Ruapehu before, but I am feeling sad because I didn't want to leave my family because I loved them so much.
At camp in the Crossing Back Packers my room number was 29. I was with my friends; Rael, Ruta, Genevieve, Aysha, Faith, Ayva, and Leanah. Our food was delicious, for the first day, Tuesday, for dinner we had garlic bread and veggies, on Wednesday we had mince and on Thursday we had nachos they were yum as. My dad was in room 20 ?. once he visited my cabin to collect the go pro camera that I used for the day.
On Friday we went to the Taupo hot pools, Hamilton gardens, Huka falls, and then we went back home. Everything that we did was fun and I wanted to go again with the middle school because skiing is so fun. I can't stop talking about what we did because that was the first time for me going on a school camp. I would say to the middle school who might be going on camp "you should try to come on Mt Ruapehu camp because it is a great experience for everyone and you could go on the new Gondola which is called the Sky Waka." I would also say to the students who aren't going on camp "everyone will have fun.
I felt really proud of myself because I didn't really need any help from any one that was in my colour group. I felt brave making friends with people from other schools. and I went on the chairlift. me and my dad were having snowball fights.
Here are links to my work from the mountain.
