Summer Learning Journey - Celebrating Summer - Week 3 Day 3 - Tastes Of Summer

Kia Ora bloggers and welcome back to another post! Today we are talking about tastes of Summer! We had to make a food collage of Summer Tastes, we had to think of what food make us and our Whanau think of about Summer. Then we had to describe at least three of the images we put in the collage. For the step up challenge, we had to say why we liked the foods using different coloured callouts.

Here is my collage:

Hope you enjoyed my post!

Don't forget to leave a thoughtful, helpful and positive comment!

Happy New Year!

Blog you later!

  1. Kia Ora Maddison,

This is a really great post. You have used some great descriptions for the different foods that make you think of Summer.

I think BBQs, salads, milkshakes, strawberries and pavlovas when it comes to Summer as that is what we tend to eat most of Summer.

Hope you are enjoying your Summer and some of the foods you have described.

  2. Mōrena Maddison,

Fiona here from the SLJ team.

Excellent work creating a very bright and eye-catching poster displaying a great selection of summer treats - ka pai! Your selection of foods made my tummy rumble!

You have done a great job selecting adjectives to describe your foods, like juicy, sweet, and bitter - great stuff! I really like the way you have organised your images and included speech bubbles to make all the information really clear and eye-catching.

You should give yourself a pat on the back for creating another fantastic blog post!

Mā te wā - I can’t wait to see your other posts over the summer.

    Fiona (SLJ).

  3. Kia Ora Maddison,

It is Kayla from Ohaeawai School. What an amazing blog post! I like how you have made your work colourful. Do you grow strawberrys or blueberrys or some veges in your garden? I also like that you are decriptive about your foods but spappy. Maybe next time if you would like to make it even brighter you could make a picture of you and your family eating for example stawberries in the backround.

    Blog ya later!
    Kayla,

    1. Hi Kayla,
We have tomatoes, blueberries and we are trying to grow passion fruit at the moment. Do you grow any veges or fruit in your garden?
