Summer Learning Journey - Celebrating Summer - Week 3 Day 4 - Camping Site

Welcome back to another post. Today's post is about maths and strategy. We had to make our own camp site on a slideshow and then we figured out how much the people who are camping have to pay to stay there for one night. There are 2 slideshow, a Kick Start and a Step It Up. Here are the slideshows:

Wow!!! You have done some amazing maths and problem solving work in this activity. I like how you have given lots of options of how you could have it laid out. Your index helped too, knowing what we were looking at, made it easier to understand what you had created.

    Keep up the amazing work

    1. Hi Mum,
Thanks, I did find this activity a little tricky. I was a bit confused at first, but once I understood I had lots of fun creating the different camp sites.

  2. Kia Ora Maddison,

My name is Shannon and I’m from the Summer Learning Journey.

Ka pai on a fantastic post! I’m so impressed that you considered how to make your paddock more profitable by making it more enjoyable and adding things like blank areas to play and bbq stoves. You’re amazing!

I also really like how you have set up your campsites in such a geometrically pleasing way! It looks phenomenal. Your math is also correct and suggests you’ll get far more profit with 32 tents than 14 in the kick start, and more profit from charging $21 than $18 in the step it up.

    Keep up the great work!

    Ka kite anō,

    1. Afternoon Shannon.
It was lots of fun to create, but only after I figured out what to do. It was a bit confusing to start with.
